The suspected gunman was taken into custody last night after allegedly using a “high-powered rifle” similar to an AR-15, which he bought legally, to kill at least 7 people and injure dozens more. 0:06.4	deadly mass shooting in Highland Park, Illinois.
0:09.4	Earlier, she called on Congress to renew the assault weapons ban and protect communities
0:13.6	across the nation from what she called the terror of gun violence.
0:18.2	It was another semi-automatic weapon, similar this time to an AR-15, used to slaughter more
0:24.5	innocent Americans.
0:25.8	And this time it happened on America's birthday.
0:28.6	More than 70 rounds were fired on an Independence Day parade, according to police.
0:35.6	We learned that another person died today from wounds suffered in the parade attack.
0:50.5	And that brings the total number of dead to seven now, and dozens more are injured.
0:57.0	We also learned today that among the dead are 35 and 37-year-old arena and Kevin McCarthy.
1:03.0	They are or were Aidan's parents.
1:06.8	He is a two-year-old boy.
1:08.3	He was found alive after the shooting and was reunited with his grandparents.
1:13.2	But now we know that he's an orphan who go fund me pages, been created to raise money
1:17.8	to support little Aidan.
1:21.0	So here we are again in America after you, Valday, after Buffalo.
