There's a saying you've definitely heard of.

Youth is wasted on the young.

It's a sentiment I disagree with, not because I think young folks don't take their youth for granted.

I certainly did.

But I don't like the other things it implies.

Bitterness, envy, and the idea that the people who really deserve the gift of youth are the ones who've already had it.

I decided a long time ago I wasn't going to be one of those people, that whenever my youth inevitably left me, I'd say sain-ar.

Grow with dignity. But there are folks who just can't let go.

You know the type.

Lord knows I met plenty of them in Hollywood.

But I'm not talking about some actor with too much work done or tech CEO trying to hack aging.

Those poor fools aren't hurting anyone but themselves.

No, there are sick people out there

who do awful things for another shot at youth, even if it means taking it from someone else.

I know, because a long time ago, they tried to steal it from me.
