0:02.5	This is Thanksgiving week.
0:04.0	It's the beginning of the holiday season.
0:06.1	It's America's most celebrated holiday
0:07.9	and a time that we're supposed to relax
0:09.9	and be with our friends and family.
0:11.9	Unfortunately, a lot of our friends and family
0:13.8	have been torn apart because of this election,
0:16.3	because of our old and now new president,
0:18.9	because of our increasingly fractured media landscape,
0:21.4	and therefore our reality. So I know a lot of people in this nation are put off by the idea
0:26.3	of coming together and feeling grateful, just as there are so many people who are feeling
0:30.6	justifiably terrified about what's coming for us in the new year. Which is why I didn't want
0:35.3	to just do a political episode or do some episode
0:37.6	that belittled our feelings or lean too hard into being positive because honestly, I don't feel
0:42.7	that positive. We know there's a lot coming for us and we know we're going to have to be
0:46.8	rested and ready for it. But I wanted to make sure that we enjoy the times we have that are good.
0:52.8	It's possible that so many things are going to be bad for a while
0:55.8	and it's going to be hard and we're going to have to fight despite that heartbreak and exhaustion.
