A while back, I read about what was once the motto of Spain.

The motto of Spain at one time was, nay plus ultra.

Nay plus ultra. Could you say that out loud with me?

nay plus ultra. It means nothing more beyond. Nothing more beyond. You see they believed

that the pillars of Hercules, the Strait of Gibraltar, was the basically the end of the world that there was nothing more

to explore they had done it all they had seen it all and so they put out there for the

world there's nothing more,

Nae Plus Ultra.

Then Columbus went ahead and sailed the ocean blue.
