Philippians chapter 2 worship team. We'll see you back here in a little bit. Philippians Chapter 2, verse number 6.

And I'm going to revisit the theme scriptures for the series that we're in called Crownless King.

I want you to get a visual.

God became man.

Though he was rich, he became poor, though he had a crown, he cast it down, humbled himself,

and became a servant.

He became such a servant that he would go all the way to the extremes of dying a brutal

death on the cross.

Watch here in Philippians chapter 2 how Paul the apostle describes our crownless king.

Listen to these words.

He existed in the form of God, yet he gave no thought to seize inequality with God as his supreme prize.

Instead, he emptied himself on his outward glory by reducing himself to the form of a lowly servant.

He became human.

He humbled himself and became vulnerable, choosing to be revealed as a man and was obedient.

This is where I want to land on this phrase right here. Watch this. He was a perfect example.

I love that. We're going to camp out right there. He was a perfect example. Even in his death, a criminal's death by crucifixion.

I love how Paul calls my God, my Jesus, a perfect example.

He was the example of heaven.

He is the example of the Father's love.

He is the example of righteousness.
