Are you ready this morning?

All right, go with me to Luke 7.

I'm going to read out of the Passion Translation, so if you don't have that, it may be easier

for you just to listen.

And I'm going to cover quite a few verses here, and then I'm going to come back

and show you some, just kind of some different things that the Holy Spirit has been talking to me

about. So we'll begin with Luke 7 starting in verse 11. Super familiar story, one I've ministered from

many times, and most of the ministers in the room have ministered from as well. Are you ready?

Luke 7-11.

Shortly afterward, Jesus left on a journey for the village of Nain,

with a massive crowd of people following along with his disciples.

As he approached the village, he met a multitude of people in a funeral possession

who were mourning as they carried the body of a young man to the

cemetery. The boy was his mother's only son and she was a widow. When the Lord saw the grieving

mother, his heart broke for her. With great tenderness, he said to her, please don't cry. Then he

stepped up to the coffin and touched it. When the pallbearers came to a halt,

Jesus said to the corpse, young man, I say to you, arise and live. Immediately the young man

moved, set up, and spoke to those nearby. Jesus presented the son to his mother alive.

A tremendous sense of holy mystery swept over the crowd.
