Now it's your turn, man.

And even though you get one verse, there are three powerful commands to the husband in

this seventh verse.

You husbands.

The first command, live with your wife.

This word translated live means to dwell together, to be at home with.

It conveys a close togetherness for which you, husbands and I are responsible.

It isn't the wife's task to develop the togetherness of the home.

It is the husband's job.

And right away I move to the second command, know your wife.

See verse 7, husbands likewise, be at home with your wives in an understanding way as

with a weaker vessel.
