First and foremost, as one of your pastors, I want to be clear local ministry and local mission are

totally necessary. So we're going to talk today a lot about the Himalayas and other

places in the world that are far from Metro Washington DC but that doesn't

mean that ministry and mission aren't totally necessary right here in

Metro Washington, D.C. Local ministry is necessary, meaning there are men and women children in this room at

other campuses right now who are walking through all kinds of struggles.
