0:03.3	Welcome to our Rosary Meditation.
0:06.5	Teresa, it was really wonderful to meditate with you on the virtue of faith.
0:14.9	And now we get to dive into your favorite virtue, the virtue of hope.
0:23.2	Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.
0:30.4	Hope is the virtue whereby the individual strives for heaven as something which is possible, but not guaranteed.
0:39.8	So, hope involves three things.
0:42.6	First, an active pursuit of God in heaven.
0:46.1	Second, a realization that the attainment of heaven is possible.
0:50.6	After all, if it wasn't possible to get to heaven, why would anyone even try to get there?
0:55.6	And third, a realization that failing to attain heaven is also possible.
1:01.3	After all, if getting to heaven was guaranteed, why would you have to try to get there?
1:07.9	The question is, why is hope a theological virtue? In fact, why is it a virtue at all?
1:17.6	Our Father who art in heaven, hallow it be your name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
1:23.6	Give us to stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us
1:31.3	and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, amen.
1:35.5	Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
1:42.0	Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death, amen.
1:47.9	Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women. Blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
