Summary

Welcome to HOOVERING, the podcast about eating. Host, Jessica Fostekew (Guilty Feminist, Motherland) has a frank conversation with an interesting person about gobbling; guzzling; nibbling; scoffing; devouring and wolfing all up… or if you will, hoovering.

Happy new bloody year! Think of all the new things we can EAT. This month I’m going deep into everything possible to provide you with a really fun, funny and hopefully useful antidote to all the toxic BS you’ll be hearing from the diet industry asking you to get even less in tune with your actual wonderful body. We’re kicking off with an interview with the amazing Becky Amoi Young whose the founder of the absolutely incredible ‘Anti Diet Riot Club’.

I would very much love to have you come and see my stand up show HENCH, which is at the SOHO THEATRE in London for three weeks of January up until 25th and then I’m off on TOUR all around the UK, IRELAND and MELBOURNE.

Outside of that I’ll be doing new material gigs and I’m always sticking new dates on MY WEBSITE so have a check. The Hoovering Live dates go on there too.

I made up the recipe for what I made us, a kind of fried potato cake filled with root veg and savoy cabbage that needed eating up, with caraway seeds and a bit of cumin. With it though we had the new Sriracha from TABASCO which is so delicious thank you very much and also some absolutely lush VEGETARIAN BLACK PUDDING gifted from my mrs, smuggled from Glasgow.

Becky bigger up a new small plates...
