Summary

Welcome to HOOVERING, the podcast about eating. Host, Jessica Fostekew (Guilty Feminist, Motherland) has a frank conversation with an interesting person about gobbling; guzzling; nibbling; scoffing; devouring and wolfing all up… or if you will, hoovering.

This week’s show came live, about 5 weeks ago, from the brilliant Leicester Comedy Festival, the 2021, online edition. I was joined over the zooms by a remarkable panel of incredibly talented, roughly Leicester based legends. Leicester’s folk hero Grace Petrie, Black Country born comedian Darren Harriot and the last series of Bake Off’s brilliant Mark Elliot, now based in Cornwall but originally from Leicestershire too. In celebration of Leicester, generally, we all had to ‘bring’ something yellow and blue to the party, to eat.
