Lasting Media

Hey guys.

I know this last week has been really devastating for our nursing and health care community.

And I think it's safe to say that Eby's passing has left us all feeling very heartbroken, very devastated, and also just realizing how much we all really need to come together.

Because bringing us together in a safe space

and giving us the blessing of humor and comedy and lighthearted wit

is something that E.B. excelled at.

And I hope and I pray that we can all keep going the amazing community and camaraderie that he

built over all of these years that he poured into us.

E.B. and I first met in 2014. And we met at an event in Atlanta.

And it was funny because, you know, social media was kind of just getting started back then.

There was no real rhyme or reason to it.

And it was just sort of a, everybody get on here and take pictures of your lunch and, you know, pictures of your kids. And there were no big meme pages and Betches was just

getting started and all these things. And we met at this event that we both spoke at. And it was

an event with Emerald Health Services in Atlanta. And I remember we hit it off like right away. And we had the funest time because of it was an event with Emerald Health Services in Atlanta.

And I remember we hit it off right away.

And we had the funnest time because we were both just talking shit the entire time about everything.

And I remember we went out to dinner with a small group of us that night.

And he was like, you know, I think it's really cool what you did kind of flip the script on the TV show.

And, you know, that's really cool.

I mean, not everybody can get shit canned on national television and then turn it around to be something positive.

And I was like, yeah, well, you know, I kind of figured there's one of two ways out of this situation.
