Hey, what's going on? This is the Saturday Down South podcast. I am kind of Gura. We'll

about 12 hours after our last pod came out. We found out the news about Mike Leach's death.

Well, our thoughts are certainly with his family and loved ones. I got to say that seeing the

outpouring of Leach stories all week and being able to kind of follow this has been, it's really

been a joy and it's been kind of therapeutic in a way to see all these different people talking

about all these great memories that they have of Mike Leach. And usually I'm a little bit turned

off by some of that stuff because I think people use it for likes and retweets and stuff like that

when somebody dies. But I think seeing the way that it's unfolded with Leach just reminded everybody,

man, what an impact this guy had on college football. We've got a lot of Leach stuff that we're

going to get to a bit. And I know we talked about Leach the other day when he was, you know,

it wasn't officially yet. We didn't know the diagnosis, but I just kind of wanted to start with that

because I don't know about you, but it felt very, very cleansing on the timeline to see all these

great things about Leach. Yeah, like cathartic for sure. And like that's the thing is like there's

not really a bad Leach story. Like there's not like a boring Leach story, I mean. And so that's

the thing. Like someone's using it for likes. It's like, yeah, one time I talked to Leach about

like his pet possum. It's like everything he said was so golden that like I'll hear all the stories

about him. Whereas like to your point, it's like the opposite of other people's like, oh, I had a

brush with Harry Carey one time. It's like, yeah, but every time Leach talk, he gave something new

to the person he was talking to. So it's all good. And that's that's what we like hearing about. It's

it is interesting. And I was able to catch up with with Tim couch. And then in Errol Thompson,

the other day as well and Errol Thompson, who was Leach's first captain at Mississippi State.

Speaking of that, do you mind if I tell a quick Errol Thompson story for sure? I'm going to go for it.
