Though universally disdained by peace-loving nations,

the United States has often found itself in the midst of conflict, hoping to liberate those who have never tasted the sweetness of freedom.

Throughout the past century, our troops have battled tyranny and oppression around the globe, allowing others to enjoy

the liberties we often take for granted.

Here in this young land we call America, our very freedoms were birthed in war.

Since declaring our independence from Britain more than 200 years ago,

generations of warriors have denied their selfish instincts and given their blood to defend this land.
