1 Samuel 2, did you find it?

1 Samuel 2, we studied in previous lesson and read how that the man of God, Eli,

who was over the worship of the Lord and the house of the Lord,

his sons that were priest and the priest's family and had come up and were ministers in the house of the Lord,

were wicked men and they were stealing the offerings and they were treating the people, and they were treating the people badly, and they were having

physical affairs with the women that came, and the Lord had cautioned him and warned him,

and he knew it was going on, but he just let it keep going.

You know, we must not yield to the devil, even if it's our family that's yielding to him.

See, the devil's counting on you loving that flesh so much that you'll put up with him.

You'll let him in.

But you must not do it because you're not going to help them by yielding to the devil.

And making provision and accepting them doing it. The best thing you ever did was go all the way with God and not

compromise. In 1 Samuel 2, the Lord said to them, verse 29, he said, why are you kicking at my sacrifice

and my offering, which I have commanded in my habitation?

And you honor your sons above me to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings

of Israel, my people.
