you may be able to connect with other people who share those affiliations.

That can be a very cool thing indeed.

So of all the bumper stickers out there, I encountered a new one recently.

Hunk if you passed P-im. In case you haven't taken or passed P-Kim and I definitely haven't,

I can tell you that P-Kim stands for physical chemistry. This tends to be a particularly demanding

course and one that is less commonly taken in past than say organic chemistry

which prospective physicians need to take.

Hence, the bumper sticker inviting you to honk if you've passed P-Cam.

That means you are part of a small club of serious chemists. I love

imagining a person who just passed P-chem seeing that bumper sticker and honking proudly.

Maybe the person with the sticker on her car waves back in solidarity.
