Hello everybody and welcome back to the late sub we have a super week for you we have a lot going on. There are some huge international

football implications happening this week. We've got another really

wacky week of college basketball. In fact, what we're going to do is we're going

to start focusing in on some of the bigger picture of some of these bigger sports

So what we have for you today is a super episode just on the US O's National Team and the Gold Cup.

As you guys have been following along, there have been some downs and some ups and some downs.

So first we're going to address Monday's loss against Mexico and then we are going to have a fabulous

chat with Sandra Herrera of CBS Sports Talking Big Picture Gold Cup and some of the highest

perhaps of the first two games of the United States

2024 campaign. We we came back together here on Tuesday February 27th. That is the

morning of Tuesday February 27th to address the United States game on Monday night,

which was their group stage closer against Mexico because that is worth discussing

immediately, which is that the US lost that game, two to nothing against Mexico.

That's the first time that Mexico has defeated the United States since 2010.

That is the first time the United States has lost to Kunkakaf competition in the United States since 2000 and it is the first time that they have ever lost a game in the state of California.

I would say it was interesting,

but I think actually what makes it interesting

is that it wasn't really that interesting at all,

or necessarily that surprising outside of some of the individual issues that the United States had.

Mexico looked really, really good in their game against the Dominican Republic.

They put a lot of goals on that team.

And that was the most complete Mexico performance
