one million followers showing the parents how to use simple items in your home to play with your children,

encourage independent play, encourage unstructured play.

Michelle and I, we connected on social media and we've kind of become

friends and I love that we get to have this honest conversation about play, motherhood, and

how we feel about our kids being rushed into learning.

I'm so excited to talk about you and play and just everything you're doing on social media.

Would you introduce yourself to us, please?

Absolutely. Well, first of all, thank you for having me. It's exciting to just be on a

podcast for the first time. So I know. Congrats.

I'm Michelle and I started seven days of play four years ago.

It was a social media first company and still kind of is today.

It didn't start out as like a company at first. It was just me sharing things I was doing with my kids activities at home

because I had three little ones at the time that were all under four years old.

So three and a half, two and a half, and a nine month old at the time when I started.

So, yeah, I share activities and fun things that families can do together.

Do you have like a background in play or anything that's like kind of what made you want to do that?

Because I feel like I as a first-time parent was like I don't know how to play with my kid.
