This is the next episode in our series on marriage love and sexuality.

Today we take up the issue of homosexuality.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for. We've said it before and

we'll say it again. Sexuality is designed to be an expression of love between two people. A selfish sexuality, a sexuality that's just about

using other people to get what I want is sociopathic, plain and simple.

Which is why, thankfully, most people, even secular people, don't say that sexuality should

be purely selfish. They want to believe in love too. But love, if it's actually

going to mean something more than selfishness, has to involve a real gift of self, a real giving to the other person.

Now the rise of homosexuality is one of the most dramatic and sudden social changes of our time. But the church has always said

that homosexual activity is a misuse of our sexuality and it's for precisely this reason because homosexual activity involves a fundamental failure to give.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallow would be your name, thy kingdom come they will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us to stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead

us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee bless that art thou among women

blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary mother of God brave for us

sinners noun at the hour of our death. Amen. The Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee,
