Okay, special, special guest. You know, I went to this man's event, and you did a terrific job speaking. I didn't think you'd actually be on the podcast. So I'm excited that Dr. Jay Grossman is here. If you live in the Los Angeles area, you know him as a very well-known

dentist who has been here for many, many years, but you also know him as the 30-year founder

of the famous homeless, not toothless organization. How are you? I am great. Thank you so much

for having me. I really, really look forward to this, Sarah. Well, thanks for being on. You know, I like having controversial. And not you are not controversial.

The name of your organization is controversial. I like talking to people of all different backgrounds,

because I just do. I'm always curious about people. So I wanted, you know, we emailed and I wanted

to have you on because your organizations probably

become one of the most famous nonprofits to be featured on television ever.

How are you dealing with, how overall do people react to homeless, not toothless?

You know, it's interesting.

Up until it went on the real housewives of Beverly Hills, we've had no controversy about

the name.

But, you know, it came up in one of the episodes, which I was just, I was appalled out.

I go, oh, my God, what's the pushback for?

Because I'm coming from the standpoint of

what we've accomplished, right? I'm taking a look at over the 30 plus years that I've been

running this nonprofit. We have taken care of over 120,000 people. We are approaching

$10 million worth of free dental care.

And I am so privileged and honored and thrilled. It lights me up that we've been able to give

that much back. Started as me, an individual, and has grown to hundreds and hundreds of

volunteers per year. So I'm kind of excited

about what we're doing. I'm about to turn 60. So I'm looking at this also as my legacy conversation.
