An entitled homeless man refuses to leave my hotel lobby and threatens to sue me personally

0:05.6

when I tell him that he can't sleep in our lobby and that he's gotta go.

0:09.1

Here's what happened. So as a knight auditor at a hotel, we've all had our fair share of homeless

0:14.4

people who try to stick around a little too long and make it all the more difficult when you have

0:19.0

to track them down and ask them to leave. I'm incredibly sympathetic and I understand that

0:24.0

unfortunate situations can hit anyone, but I won't lose my job or risk a serious incident

0:29.5

between a guest and not a guest by letting someone sleep or loiter somewhere that they're

0:34.4

not allowed. Well, I arrived last night and my second shift informs me that the older man that I

1:15.7

and good to him and he had been very generous and understanding when she informed him this much.

1:20.8

So I assume I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and let him sit down in the cool air for

1:25.6

another hour or so. I'm in the south and the heat and humidity here is suffocating, even in the

1:30.5

middle of the night. Being homeless is difficult enough as it is and I know sometimes just a quiet

1:35.9

place to rest your feet can really help. Well, come midnight, I was getting ready to walk through the

1:41.0

lobby and just to make sure that everything was closed up. When I exit the office and look over

1:46.5

at the man, he's passed out in the seat, snoring and his shirt is rolled up halfway up to his
