that have come into effect that continues the deregulation of the NCAA. After that, we'll get

coach how we doing today man and I'm doing fantastic it's uh I think it hits 70 degrees today in Atlanta, and we're in the middle of spring practice,

and I love practicing when the sun's out in the 70, even more so I love after practice when the sun's out in the 70.

Hey, there's nothing wrong. Everybody complains about being on turf all the time in the summertime,

but nobody complains about this time of the year because it feels great when that sunshine hits the turf this time of year. Listen, I'm a sunshine guy, so anytime that sun's out, I don't really care. I mean, I won't be outside in it. So turf, field, grass, it doesn't matter, dirt, and I'll be in the sun. You have been a heavily requested guest, by the way. I've had like 19 coaches tell me, you've got to get Sean Elliott on, you've got to get Sean Elliott on, you've got to get Sean Elliott on. So we'll talk about it here in a little bit. When I came and visited with your staff a few weeks ago, I made sure I wasn't going to leave there without you agreeing to come on the podcast.

Well, you know, we have that discount now, right? Did we negotiate that?

Was that? The NCAA list is you got to be, we've got to keep it on a low low with the NCAA

dinner, cold beer, which which one? I don't know. We'll get it. We'll get into that.

We'll get worked out. All right. So, you know, I was, let's jump into this thing.

I was sitting here and I didn't really realize this. You have been a part of ripping my heart out many times over my career.

And I didn't even really realize to the extent of, but in 2000, I'm at Troy in 2000. I'm a young buck. I was actually supposed to be finishing my last year playing, got hurt preseason. That's how I got into coaching. I've told that story here before. So it's the end of my first year as being a GA student assistant, and you're at App State in the playoffs. We're playing at home. We're rolling. I think we're the number one team in the country going into the end of the playoffs. And we had a, just to give the fans a little background, y'all were kicking our teeth in. And we came roaring back. Yeah. And took the lead. And then y'all hadn't done anything really in the second half on offense.

And then you ripped my heart out with the wheel route down the sideline. Do you remember that? I remember it. I can't even believe you were on that staff. Was Wayne Bolt the defensive coordinator? Because Wayne Bolt was the defensive coordinator. Wayne Bolt was the defensive coordinator. I remember, you know, back in that day, day and time, the

WAA playoffs had a reception for the coaches the night before.

And we went, we all went, you know, our staff and y'all staff.
