You might have noticed that you didn't hear Tim McIntosh to his part of the introduction.

And that's because he is not here with us right now.

Before we dive into this conversation, which is going to be a conversation about Marilyn Robinson Robinson's novel Home, we're going to do a little bit of housekeeping here, I suppose. We've got a number of things that we want to explain. Another novel by Marilynne Robinson, by the way.

That's very true. I didn't think about that. Although maybe there was something subconscious that the word housekeeping goes with the

word home. Yeah, okay. Well, we're going to go with that. It was a subconscious bit of

connection being made there by me. But we have some housekeeping to take care of before we dive

into our conversation on the book. And I want to start with a little bit of information of what's

going on with Tim right now, because he did give me

permission to share this. Tim is moving right now. So he was going to be joining us for this

series, but I think he is going to be taking a couple weeks off because he's moving from

Seattle, back home to Georgia. And in the midst of all that, his dad has also been having some health

problems. So he's going to be attending to his family, to his move. And so, you know, when he asked,

hey, can I bow out on this one? We, of course, said, do what you need to do. Take care of your

family. Take care of yourself. Take care of your move and your new living arrangements,

all that kind of stuff. Take care of that. That's the most important thing. So if you would keep Tim

in your thoughts and your prayers, maybe send him a nice little note if you'd like to. As I said,

his dad is dealing with some health problems, some sort of long-term things that have crept back up.

I'll let Tim share that if he wants to say more about that. But keep his family in your prayers. And of course, moving

across country is also a significant change as well. So there's a lot going on in his life. So
