I wanted to do this episode about reparations.

Have you heard this story?

There was a task force in California that determined that every black person who can claim lineage back to the

1800s who lives in California is entitled to reparations. Do you know how much they came up with

$230,000 per person? Now there's a ton, and I was going to do a whole episode on it.

But then I thought, no, that's not it.

That's not what this show is.

I don't want this podcast to be using the Bible to advocate for political policy.

That's not what this is.

And that's what that episode, at least how I was thinking about it in my brain, was probably going to turn out.

It was going to be, be against this dumb policy of reparations because the Bible says so.

That's not what this is.

That may be true, but that's not what this show is.

This show is, hey, here's a thing that's causing me anxiety in the news and I'm worried about it.

And I want to better understand it and I want to get a little bigger perspective,

and I want that anxiety to go away.
