Welcome to our Rosary Meditation.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

This is Holy Thursday.

Let's begin by calling to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

For the first 47 years of my life,

I lived in the illusion of faith and reliance on God. I say illusion because in July of 2015,

a mysterious muscular skeletal problem that affects because in July of 2015,

and it sent me into a crisis of faith.

Not a crisis of faith in God,

but a crisis because I had been up to this time really relying on myself, my health, my strength,

my ability to get things done. I realized my faith was not in God. My faith was in me. The apostles believed a similar illusion, one that was shook by the first cross and crucifixion. Shortly before Holy Week, the apostles watched Jesus raise Lazarus from the dead.

Then on Palm Sunday, they entered Jerusalem with Jesus being proclaimed the king by a multitude.

Immediately, they experienced him cleanse the temple and confront the Pharisees with a sevenfold

indictment that ended with Jesus

telling them that he would come in power and glory to judge the living and the dead.

One can imagine the control they felt.
