Hello and welcome to the Scriptures Real podcast.

This is the final episode of our special Holy Week edition and series, and this is Easter or Resurrection Sunday. We are so happy to celebrate

this with you. I'm your host, Kerry Mealstein, and this is Julianne Mealstein. My lovely and

talented co-host and wife, aren't I lucky? So, of course, we're not going to spend a long time on this because this is something

you'll celebrate all day long.

Most people celebrate Easter and have lots of great ways of celebrating Easter.

And hopefully Christ is the focus of that.

And so we just wanted to take a moment to really talk about Christ and the resurrection and bear witness of that.

And just following up from yesterday, the sense of change from feeling that the windows of heaven are closed and feeling full of sorrow and despair to such a joyous realization,

coming to understand that Christ is yet is truly alive and understanding all of the

things that were foretold, starting to understand that there's a bigger picture than what they

were seeing the day before. And that's just a powerful lesson for all of us, that we have these

moments that feel so hopeless, yet it's through Christ and that Christ will come and the heavens are open

because of him and everything is possible because of Christ and through Christ.

And when we focus on him and focus on not just his resurrection, but his entire life, all of his teachings, all that he's given us through his atonement, the atoning power that comes through what our Savior has done for us.

And then all of the power that comes from all that Christ enables, including the

priesthood power and the strength of being a united church, the strength that comes from our

families as we join together in worship with Christ and in our congregations.

There's so many things that bring us hope that are all wrapped in and through and around

and because of Christ.

It's just a beautiful day that we can reflect on so many different elements, not just

the resurrection, yes, the resurrection, but each piece of Christ's life
