The strongest man in the Bible had to learn the reality of his own weakness and the true source of strength.

Today we learn spiritual truths from the life of Samson.

We live in a changeable world, and let's just be honest, we are changeable people.

Our bodies change, our ideas change, our thought processes change.

The one that never changes is the eternal God.

And as we're studying through the life of Samson,

I see a man that seems to have lots of ups and downs,

lots of ebbs and flows.

He's so changeable.

One moment he's being mightily used of God,

and the next moment he's doing what the flesh wants him to do.

One moment he's under the control of the Holy Spirit.

The other moment, he's dominated by his flesh. I want to say to you today the one constant in Samson's life,

the one who never changed was the Holy Spirit. He was always the same. He was always at work. He was

always trying to move and accomplish the great eternal purpose of God and bring God

glory. The problem was flesh just kept getting in the way. We've been talking about the life of the

spirit and the life of Samson and we learned first of all from Judges 13 something about the moving

of the spirit. The Holy Spirit moves on individual lives. This is more than

emotion. This is more than just a whim. This is a divine guiding. It is a divine stirring. I'm thinking

of Philippians 2 verse 13 that says, it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. The Holy Spirit begins to work new

desires in you. And then he empowers you to do the things that God desires for you to do. And so it brings us
