Well, good morning and thank you everybody for joining us live here at the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy.

We are very excited to have you with us for a couple reasons. One, it is first Saturday.

So after this talk, we will be going into the devotions of first Saturday. And what a perfect time to begin, which is the first month of the year. So even if you've done

them before, five consecutive first Saturdays, our Lord says do them again. And so this is the

perfect time to begin. But before we do, we're going to begin with this talk today. Now, normally,

I speak on a topic of Mary.

But this is so important today, do all of you know what today's feast is?

The Holy Name of Jesus.

One of the most misunderstood is the topic of Jesus. One of the most misunderstood is the topic or the commandment to not use the Lord's

name in vain. Almost all of us think it means no swearing or not getting angry and saying

God's name. Actually, that's not what it means. That's part of it, but that's not all of it.

There's much, much more to that. And this is why the Holy Name of Jesus is so critical. And this is going to be what we talk about today.

So let us begin with the prayer in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father,

we ask you bring us the Holy Spirit to enlighten us, to guide us, bless us, and protect us,

and to know the power of your name and the name that above all names that every heaven in heaven

and on earth, every knee shall bend before it and we ask

all this through the name of jesus christ our lord amen name of the father and of the son and of the

holy spirit amen okay so today january third is the feast of the holy Name of Jesus, but I'm going to get into something much deeper.

You know what? Our lady said at LaSelet, one of the most important apparitions, talking about a first Saturday with Mary.

She said there are two things that offend the Lord more than any other.

Now, when you think of that, you think of all the

things, sexual sins and drugs and abuse and violence. You know what our Lord, our heaven said
