You know, I usually don't put up on my podcast and my videos, the articles that I have written,

but today I'm going to read an article I wrote last week that I thought was pretty important.

Now, if you are on the old calendar and if you're listening pretty close to the time

of production of this podcast, you're going to notice we are coming up on the octave of

Christmas, which is known as the circumcision of our Lord.

Now, if you're on the new calendar,

you might be approaching Mary Mother of God, but in the old calendar, that was in October. I believe it was October 11th in the old calendar. Now, I think it's extremely important that we hold

the octave of Christmas

to be the circumcision of our Lord. Why is that? It's because we understand that one of the main

reasons Christ became a human, and the only reason I say one of the main reasons is because I believe

in the primacy of Christ that even if we hadn't fallen, the incarnation would have still happened, but that's not the topic of today's podcast. But we know one of the main reasons,

probably the main reason, he became man, was to shed his blood for us, humans to save us,

who would have otherwise gone to hell. And the circumcision of our Lord is the first time

he sheds that blood for us. It's on the octave of Christmas. And notice thatcision of our Lord is the first time he sheds that blood for us.

And notice that blood of Jesus is human, therefore it's physical.

God normally doesn't have physical blood, at least not up until the point of the incarnation.
