My name is Blair, and today we're going to be talking about a now-defunct

MLM known as Holiday Magic.

Now, I know it's December, and it's the festive season and everything so I thought

covering this MLM would be like interesting I knew nothing about it and I said hey

holiday magic that sounds festive let's do it in December well much to my

displeasure this MLM has nothing really to do with the Christmas holidays whatsoever

so I'm already disappointed before we even really got into the research about this thing.

Now it didn't last too long but it most certainly does have an interesting history so I figured it would still be something fun to share and get us through the holiday season with an

MLM that literally survived maybe all of like 10 years. But with that being said, let's jump right

into it and explain what holiday Magic was actually MLM that was founded in 1964 and collapsed only a decade later.

So there's not like a massive timeline to really go through here, but I think it's still important to talk about how this MLM started.

So let's begin with the company's founder before we get into what made the MLM actually fall apart.

According to one source, William Penn Patrick

was not only a snake oil salesman,

but a man who ran a pyramid scheme and a cult.

So that's one hell of a way to start this off.

William Penn Patrick was a charlatan and entrepreneur. Born on March 31st,

1930, he lived until the age of 43, dying when his private plane crashed on June 9, 1973.

And Jesus Christ is a side note, what a way to go.
