you know they're all it's it's a it's scammer m a ding dong time all the time but uh it's particularly

prevalent during the holidays when people go well, well, you know, these dumb Americans,

they're willing to buy almost anything and they're buying things too. So let's get them

to part with their money. So today we want to talk a little bit about avoiding getting ripped

off because that's a way to lose a lot of money. And I do mean a lot

of money. Americans lose, I don't know, how much to scams? In 2023, according to one source,

$10 billion with a B dollars. That's U.S. dollars. To me, that seems low. Yeah, I think because

here's the thing about that number.

That's the reported amount.

Remember, a lot of people get scammed and never report it. I'm embarrassed. I don't want to tell anybody. Oh, sure. Yeah. So that happens they're good. And that's what instigated this topic is I've been reading it. There's a column, or a seven-part series by Michelle Singletary in the
