Hello everyone, welcome back to the Gin Z Girl podcast. My name is Abby Aslan and I'm the host if this is your first time listening. Welcome. So it's currently Sunday night when I've been recording this, I always record Sunday nights. I feel like unless I just know I'm going to be busy and record in advance, but most of the time I procrastinate recording the podcast. And I don't know

0:22.5

why. I just do. I procrastinate a lot of things, though, but I still get them done, which is

0:26.9

why I continue to procrastinate. But I'm actually currently at home now. In Florida, I drove

0:33.5

home from Texas yesterday, very long drive, but I'm glad that it's done and over with,

0:41.1

and I enjoyed my two weeks in Texas with my boyfriend and his family, and now I'm back home

0:48.8

until I go back to school. I do have to go back to school next week to take my last final and after that I'll come

0:58.6

back home, but that's just like a five-hour drive. So it's nowhere near as intense as the 10-hour drive

1:03.7

from Texas to Florida. But I, this episode, okay, so originally I was going to wait to do this episode because I wasn't

1:11.8

exactly sure how to approach it this year. All of you love, I always get such great feedback

1:17.3

from the holiday themed episodes, like the fall bucket list one from this year. Last year,

1:23.1

my Christmas episode was sort of talking about traditions and sort of like my holiday favorites,

1:29.5

I guess you could say. And my holiday favorites stay the same every year because it's just like

1:33.9

the same types of things like certain drinks from Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts and certain candles

1:39.7

and all that kind of stuff and all that kind of stays the same. So I was like, how can I do a Christmas episode this year and not be repetitive?

1:48.8

And then last year I also talked about like saving money during the holidays and sort of how I go about finding gifts and gifting things to people.

1:58.5

So I kind of did a very comprehensive Christmas episode last year

2:02.9

and covered a lot of bases when in reality I probably could have held off on doing some of those

2:07.4

things for years to come for Christmas episodes, but it's fine. So I figured similar to the

2:13.5

fall bucket list that I did a few months ago, I guess, I was just going to do a Christmas bucket list that is COVID-friendly because COVID is still here.

2:24.5

It is December and the year's almost over and it's still here.

2:28.7

So pretty much, honestly, a lot of Christmas stuff is COVID-friendly to begin with before COVID

2:36.0

even existed so that's a pro for sure but anyways I just wanted to kind of like chat through

...
