Let's pray. Father, as we come to your word now, give us ears to hear.

Open the eyes of our heart and the ears of our heart, and grant us attentive minds and receptive minds.

Grant me to be faithful to your word.

Grant me a heart for your word, I pray.

We love your word.

We want to honor your word.

Stand by me. Minister your word. I pray through Christ. Amen. Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus, to all the Saints who are in Philippi.

Grace to you in peace from God our Father

and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mind for you all making my prayer

with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.

And I'm sure that he began a good work in you,

will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. It's right for me to feel this way about you because I hold you in my heart

for you are all partakers with me of grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and

confirmation of the Gospel.

For God is my witness how I yearn for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus.

My prayer for you is that you might, your love might abound more and more with knowledge and all discernment,

that you may approve what is excellent and so be pure and blameless at the day of Christ filled with the

fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God. And I want you to know that what has happened to me has really served to

advance the Gospel so that it has become known throughout the whole Imperial Guard and to all the rest at my imprisonment is for Christ.

And most of the brothers, having become confident by my imprisonment, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
