New York's Alvin Bragg, the district attorney here, dropped murder charges against

Bodega, worker, Jose Alba.

Now this is an instance of clear self-defense and just as a reminder in case you have forgotten

or you didn't see the video that was widely circulated, here's what happened in individual

with a criminal history including violence against a police officer.

He was out on probation or on parole rather pardon me during this incident for that attack

on law enforcement officer.

He came into a Bodega, a small grocery store and was demanding that his girlfriend, who

had previously been in there, be given a bag of potato chips that she could not pay

for because her debit card did not have money on it.

So he was demanding the potato chips and decided to go around the actual counter to confront

Jose Alba physically.

He assaulted him, he shoved him into a stack of products behind the counter and then when

Jose Alba, who was 62 years old and just trying to do his job, tried to get away, this

suspect this individual laid hands on him again.

So a second assault, Jose Alba at that point produced a box cutter stabbed his assailant

twice and was who then died.
