I see there are over 20 million people here you can see there are finally protests, folks are fed up and many of them aren't getting fed enough if you will.

They are not able to even leave their homes to go get food.

This lockdown is extreme and people in China and Shanghai are recognizing that the state authority here, even for a communist country like China is way overboard.

This is completely bonkers and it's a reminder that here we are two years into the pandemic and no surprise but we're watching the continuation of the authoritarian power struggle that's been going on since the very beginning.

This is an enormous challenge going forward that we have to meet. We cannot allow these countries whether it's China or the US others to pretend that any lockdowns made sense were a good idea and of course the reason we have to look at this is because they can never be replicated again.

That's the main thing we have to avoid here because they want to do it and we see in China they're doing it here in the US there's already talked we're going to do in a moment about additional mitigation restrictions pivoting and all that no we should be done with this.
