It's crazy what's going on right now in Shanghai.

I see there are over 20 million people.

Here you can see there are finally protests.

People are fed up and many of them aren't getting fed enough, if you will.

They are not able to even leave their homes to go get food.

This lockdown is extreme and people in China and Shanghai are recognizing that the state

authority here, even for a communist country like China, is way overboard.

This is completely bonkers.

It's a reminder that here we are two years into the pandemic and no surprise.

We're watching the continuation of the authoritarian power struggle that's been going on since the

very beginning.

This is an enormous, an enormous challenge going forward that we have to meet.

We cannot allow these countries, whether it's China or the US, others, to pretend that

any lockdowns, any lockdowns made sense were a good idea.

Of course, the reason we have to look at this is because they can never be replicated again.
