Josea chapter 12, verse 6.

So you, by the help of your God, return, hold fast to love and justice, and wait continually for your God.

What a loaded verse. Again, just like meditate on each one of these

words, so you, this is a personal call. This is God speaking to his people, to you, to me,

so you, by the help of your God, return.

Ah, just even that phrase.

To return to God, to turn from sin and ourselves to God.

We need God's help to do that.

We need God's grace, God's mercy, God's help to turn from sin to Him. So return by the help of your God,

and even language shouts that God is ready, willing, able to help you return to him,

to help you turn from sin and yourself. God helps us to do this. So you, by the help of your God,

return, hold fast to love and justice. Oh, yes. Don't you want to hold fast to love? Don't you want to

hold fast to justice? There's so much we could talk about there with both of those. But then

the last part of this verse says, hold fast to love and justice and wait continually for your God.

What an interesting word, wait. It's basically to trust that God is there, that God will provide everything you need. So to wait, to trust in this

way continually for God to give you everything you need. I think about many people who are

listening to this right now, who are going through many challenges. I count myself with you, and it's good to hear from God that we can wait on him.

We can trust in him continually all day long.

We can trust that he is going to provide everything we need when we need it.

Oh, so much here to pray according to.

So let's just pray it.
