Hi, everybody. Welcome back to the Be There in Five podcast. I'm Kate Kennedy, your host. I feel like you've heard enough for me lately. I mean, especially if you were paying attention to my life of a showgirl footage.

It's like, you know, weeks time, four, maybe five different installments of thoughts.

I, you know, they say get a hobby to Taylor Swift fans, but like, admittedly, that is one of my hobbies.

It's, I just don't think it's that different than being into comic books or something, you know?

I have a whole episode of like cut footage just sitting there that I, for that I was going to upload to Patreon, but then I felt like I was just contributing to like the volume of commentary. And like, it's a bunch of my original thoughts that I cut when I was trying to form thoughts for the podcast. So it's not all like glowing. Anyway, I might still put it up on patreon and apple subscriptions but yeah look out for deleted scenes of a showgirl maybe that's what i'll call it

anyway i hope you guys are doing well i hope that the episode two weeks ago inspired you to pursue

some of your hobbies and pinterests and today's easy listening easy breezy i'm just going to read

stories people

submitted about their hobbies, how they found them, and how they found community, they found

themselves, they found or made time. The best are the best. And I never know what's going to

inspire people to, like, write in. And this was a, like, there's, yeah, way more responses than

I ever thought possible. I laughed. I cried. I had a good time. Which was much needed because I don't know if you guys have watched this season of love is blind. Hoof. I mean, truly. Some of the worst. Of the worst. I don't know. I just heard the season was crazy. And it took me like a good couple episodes to get into you. I don't always find the pods that inspired. But then once I get attached to people like Sparkle Meg, I'll go back and then watch the pods to like revisit. But like, I don't know. If anybody's going on that show, here's when you run. Here's when you don't see yes to the proposal. If they say, I'm having a really hard time matching your face to your voice. She's like, yeah, trying to connect the dots. Like after the big reveal, not, not good. When somebody says like, oh, you're not at all what I expected you to look like, 99% of the time you're disappointed, which isn't right. But also, if they, like, care that much,

I don't know why they're going on this show, if they're expecting, like, a smoke show to appear from behind the smoke screen. If somebody dared to tell me, you're just not my usual type. On the outside. On the inside, five-star, excuse me? Those words didn't need to leave your mouth like what are you doing what are any of these

people doing i just don't know why you would go on love is whatever what i want to do i want them to

have a show where the love is blind and so is the audience and i guess this is called a podcast

but like where i don't this would never work but i want to be forced to listen to these people talk and make judgments about them and have the experience of the contestant and then have, and then it'd be like, who would I pick and then have the big reveal? I feel like there's something really that new with me that I need to be getting into on here in my intro other than I went to an Addison Ray concert last night. And it was

very full circle for me because I told you in 2020 she'd be a star and I just felt very proud of her.

And the audience was like so Gen Z-Tastic, so young and fun and into it, kind of either dressing in

costume or just like so breezy casual. And it was a very happy LGBTQ plus friendly

environment. It was just, it was a really nice experience and I was really excited for Addison.

And I, I don't know if this is a hobby necessarily because I don't do it that often, but when I can.

I'm very interested in going to see up and coming artists on their early tours that are like
