Andrew Downs here with you on a Monday morning after the weekend that was in Hawkeye

Athletics, including a women's win, a men's

loss, some football awards given out, and we move closer to the bowl game on January 1st

against Tennessee without any changes to the coaching staff, at least not, that have been

made public.

Let's start with the good, and that is the Hawkeye women who

won, what, an eighth straight game on Sunday afternoon, a win at Wisconsin at the Cole Center.

I was 28th straight win over the Badgers in women's basketball dating all the way back to

2007. Lisa Bluter had some comments after the game about, you know, recruiting in Wisconsin

and how much success they've had there pulling players out and how they hope to continue

to do so.

And yeah, if you haven't lost to that team since before a lot of these high school girls

were born, I imagine you have a

pretty easy job of going there and to recruit players to come to Iowa City. An 8765 win for the
