I got the Johnson & Johnson vaccine on Saturday and I'm wondering why are we

0:05.7

pausing the vaccine roll out when it's just six people out of several million

0:10.2

people who have received this vaccine who have had these serious side effects.

0:13.4

What I'm really wondering is what these symptoms really are. They seem very similar

0:17.7

to the symptoms that I experienced immediately after getting the vaccine and I'm

0:22.4

now really nervous as to whether they were blood clot symptoms or just normal

0:27.2

expected symptoms post COVID vaccine. Why are both the FDA and the CDC

0:32.4

recommending that this vaccine be temporarily halted? Doesn't the benefit of

0:36.2

vaccinating more Americans outweigh the risks posed by the vaccine?

0:39.7

1:09.0

vessels that drain blood away from the brain. In addition that was combined with a

1:14.3

low platelet count. Now all six of those cases were women between the ages of 18

1:19.9

and 48 who had received their shots one to two weeks earlier. In one of those

1:25.2

cases a 45-year-old woman died according to federal records. So obviously this

1:31.1

is a serious condition that we're talking about but it is also extremely rare.

1:35.6

While those cases are now being investigated further J&J has decided to

1:41.1

pause all vaccinations in all of their clinical trials including in adolescence.
