It is back holiday Monday and there's an awful lot of people not working.

I'm getting some very good messages though for many of you who actually still are out there toiling away,

trying to make the most of the day.

And of course a lot of offices are shut today.

I don't know what the trains are doing.

They were on strike on Saturday.

I dare say they might be working a little bit today,

but you know what it's like.

I don't know whether the doctors were on strike.

They were on strike last weekend.

They might be back this weekend,

but I'm pretty sure you won't have much chance

of being seen by anybody because it's a bank holiday. I know that from my own situation where Wi-Fi was missing

from the residence where I was at the weekend, since Thursday, and the people from BT said,

oh, we won't be able to get anybody out until Tuesday. And when I said, why is that? They went,

well, it's a bank holiday. I'll be back in the 70s. It's a bank holiday. I mean, you know, really? Peter Hitchens is here. Well, he's working and so am I.
