Good morning and welcome back to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talk TV.

There's lots to go at this morning because it is a back holiday Monday.

But lately there's no such thing as a quiet news day is what I seem to find myself thinking and saying

because there's always something going on in the background.

Today the police are going to be asked questions about whether they might have been

slightly overzealous when they arrested all those people from Republic,

the Republican organization, who had apparently done a deal with the police to go and

demonstrate at the coronation, but were then arrested and weren't able to do so.

However, as I said earlier to Claire Fox, there were plenty of people who were able to demonstrate on behalf of Republic. They just weren't actually able to set up their loud

speaker system and they weren't able to do whatever it was that they wanted to do in some way,

shape or form. We've spoken as well about the coronation. Peter Hitchens is here now with us to tell us
