I'm still basking in the glow of the results of Tuesday's election.

And you know what?

It's, I think this is a glow that's going to last for a while because so much was at stake.

And I think the emotion I experienced most of all is just this sense of averting danger, even more than a sense of just excitement, jubilation, anticipation, all of that is true. But it's kind of like if you are in a

truck, you know, hurtling toward the edge of a cliff, and then you spot it, you swerve,

and you manage to avoid a catastrophe. That sense of overpowering relief is very important.

And because I think if it had gone the other way, we would have had to, we would, you know, put a face on it as Republicans do, hey, we're going to turn it around and we will redouble our efforts to educate the American people.
