quickly as I would like. All right, today we are diving into the dream that Nebuchadnezzar

had in Daniel's interpretation of it. Now, in the past few episodes over the weekend,

we went through the actual dream in Daniel's description of it and interpretation of it.

And today, we're going to look at the historical events and kingdoms that Daniel was speaking

about when he interpreted the dream. Now, let's go back to the dream itself and remind

ourselves what it was that Nebuchadnezzar saw. In his dream, he saw this giant statue. It

had a head of gold. It had a torso and arms of silver. It had a midsection of bronze.

His legs were iron, and then his feet were a mixture of iron and clay. And Daniel said

that these sections on this statue represented nations. Then he explains to the king that

the gold represents him and his kingdom. So that's the kingdom of Babylon. So if we historically

go back and look at what were the kingdoms that came about after this, that were able

to see the next kingdom to follow Babylon, which would be represented by this silver in this

statue, was the kingdom of media Persia. And then following that, which would be represented

by the bronze portion of the statue, is the Greek Empire under Alexander the Great and other

leaders. Then the legs of the statue represented by iron is the Roman Empire, which is what we,

as believers in Christ, are more familiar with, really, because much of the New Testament
