Good evening, everybody. Mormonism live, Wednesday, 6 p.m. Here we are live. RFM, how are you doing? Or a reasonable facsimile thereof in my case. Okay, well, thank you. There's that. That sounded like a book of Abraham reference with the word facsimile, but. Oh, yeah, yeah, reasonable. Okay. That was the part that's not like the book of Abraham, but. Yeah. Well, tonight, folks, we're going to talk about the word facsimile, but, uh, yeah, reasonable. Okay. That was the part that's not like the book of

Abraham, but yeah. Well, tonight, folks, we're going to talk about the word of wisdom, section 89 of the DNC. I think originally D&C section 81, if I'm not mistaken. I was trying to yeah, read those Roman numerals in the 1835 edition of the doctrine and covenants that you made a Yeah, and we'll get to that here shortly.

talk about the story we were given, the revelation itself, what science says about what these

1:20.9

tonight it'll be a lot of fun to dive into that. Any thoughts from you before we start?

1:24.8

By the time we're done with this, it's going to be apparent that

1:28.0

either God doesn't know what the word of wisdom is and keeps changing his mind or the

1:33.6

brethren may be not in such close connection with God all the time. Right. It's going to be one

1:39.5

or the other. And I don't think you're going to be left with many choices beyond those two.

1:43.3

So without further ado, no pun attended to the Book of Mormon,

1:47.1

let me put the slideshow up.

1:48.7

I'll add our names back in there at the bottom.

1:51.5

And what we end up with here, here's the thumbnail.

1:54.6

I think most of the major things there are included in that.

1:58.4

But I thought tonight we would start with the narrative we were given. And I

2:02.2

use some images from various, you know, the children's reader having to do with the doctrine
