Summary

We are thrilled to present a series of conversations between our dear brothers in Christ, Francis Chan and Metropolitan Yohan (aka KP Yohannan). These conversations were initiated by criticism that Francis Chan received as a result of publicly discussing the history of the church and the Eucharist and inspired by our desire to promote dialogue on divisive issues within the body of Christ in a spirit of brotherly love to honor the high priestly prayer of our Heavenly Father just before His passion on the cross “that they may all be one…so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” (John 17:21) On behalf of Francis Chan and Metropolitan Yohan, we hope that these conversations will inspire you to inspect Church history, encourage you to engage in dialogue with those that you may disagree with and live the answer to our Lord’s High Priestly prayer that we may all be one. “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:35)

History, Mystery and the Eucharist is the first episode in this four part series of round table conversations and the discussion is on the importance of understanding the history of the church and the mystery of the Eucharist.

0:36.6	I've known Francis for many years, and I can say without
0:40.3	equivocation, that he is absolutely the real deal. And of course, the same can be said for K.P.
0:46.6	Yohanan. From the moment I met K.P., I loved him. And that love has only grown over time.
0:55.5	I remember sitting down on the set between K.P. and Francis and thinking,
1:00.1	there's an old Dutch guy sitting between what looks like Gandhi and the Dalai Lama.
1:06.0	Seriously, our backgrounds and heritages could not be more dissimilar,
1:09.7	but our commitment to Christ and to His kingdom could not be more identical.
1:16.0	All three of us are deeply committed to the Lord's high priestly prayer, where Jesus prayed, I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in me through their word that they may be one as you,
1:30.3	Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be one in us, that the world may believe
1:36.3	that you set me.
1:38.3	Union with God and unity with one another is the goal of our salvation, and it is the means of global transformation.
1:46.9	Not divided, but united.
1:50.1	United to God, and to one another, the church is empowered by an unlimited flow of divine
1:56.3	energy by which to provide life and light to the world.
2:04.6	Where the authentic church to embrace unity and place a division, she may well experience a second iteration of Pentecost.
2:10.6	The sound from heaven, the mighty rushing wind, the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire,
2:16.6	the manifestation of the uncreated and fire, the manifestation of the
2:19.3	uncreated, inexhaustible energy supply that alone is sufficient to save the world.
