I'm Dave Musgrove, editor of the magazine. Let me quickly tell you what we've got in store. First up, I'm talking to Professor Jonathan Phillips, who's written a fascinating feature in the August issue of the magazine, all about the Second Crusade. After that, have you ever wondered what it was like to sail on a Viking warship? Right now, there's a recreated Viking boat in the middle of the North Sea. It's on a voyage from Denmark to Dublin. We've got a special report direct from the ship.

Now of course you can read more about all of these subjects in the August issue of the magazine. It's brimming with other features as well. We've got the partition of India in 1947, a short history of blasphemy, a curious tale of stuffed animals at the 1851 Great Exhibition, and an examination of what it really means to be a Celt. We've also launched the competition to find the most enigmatic or bizarre historic gravestone in the UK. There's a great prize on offer to the winner, so 10 of the magazine for more on that.
