Welcome to the program. I'm your host, J.V. Johnson. Thank you for being here tonight. Does anybody else have this fingernail growth issue? Now, I have, people say I'm crazy. Some people do anyway, but I have this

thing where if I drink beer, if I have a couple beers some night, my fingernails the next day

actually grow like crazy. Does anybody else experience this or is it just me? And I'm just,

just before there's

like, I just caught my nails. I just did, but they're out of control again. I don't think that's,

I don't think I'm making it up. I think there's really something to this. We have to have

somebody on who knows what I'm talking about and can explain the signs behind. And I mean, I know

that fingernails and hair are made of,

you know, a protein. And I believe that protein is found in things like beer. So I think there's truth to this. Anyway, well, this is not a grooming show. Welcome to the show. This is actually

our Wednesday night program, which I'm excited about because we do history behind the haunt on Wednesday nights now.

And we've done a few places already. We've done, let's see, with the Cambry House, the Cambry

house in Nouveau, Illinois. We've done Rolling Hills Asylum in East Bethany, New York.

Those are both great programs. And tonight we're going to visit the Ashmore Estates.

This is another location that has seen some attention from the paranormal reality television

shows. Plus, they do a lot of really cool events out there. And again, it falls into this

category of government buildings that were used for nearly a century and then basically abandoned.

Just like the Rolling Hills Asylum was, it was a county poorhouse, an almshouse,

designed for the indigent who couldn't take care of themselves.

Back in the, you know, 19th century, into the early 20th century, they didn't have programs

that would just pay people to do whatever.
