McB tim mccone is in for big jim murray alongside maz how you guys doing good you i'm peachy who wants to go first mcbone all right i'll go uh patriots and we spent a lot of time with the number three overall pick uh so far i'll plow through the mcbone stuff uh yeah all right we've been talk a lot about the Texans being the blueprint for the number three overall pick, right? Clown chill of a franchise, and you finally land the franchise quarterback last year with the number two overall pick, and all of a sudden, you're the hottest young team in the NFL, and everyone's hot and bothered about you. And as a Patriots fan, that's kind of what you're hoping for with this number three pick, right? You actually take a quarterback and you're off and running. I was reading Mike Reese yesterday, Sunday must read as always, and he asked Gerard Mayo about the Houston Texan situation. And Gerard Mayo's quote made me throw up in my mouth when I read it. He says, quote, remember, Casario had been building the team for two years before

they got C.J. Stroud in that position. So when you look at our team, I'm not asking for patience,

but I kind of am. It's a process. My guy, it's not 2020 anymore. It's not 2020. We just lived through

the Matt Patricia offense two years ago. We just lived through

Mack Jones throwing interceptions with his feet parallel to the line of scrimmage last year.

You got to make a move. And so I just, when I look at this whole situation, this offseason,

I've gotten to stage five, like acceptance at this point, that this is going to be a completely underwhelming offseason. They're not going to make a move for a receiver. And we're just going to take a lottery ticket at number three overall and hope that you actually land one of the few quarterbacks that are drafted in the first round that are like transcendent talents. And that's the actual plan this off season, which is beyond frustrating if you're a Patriots fan.
