Hi, and welcome to this bedtime story.

We'll be traveling to Cade's Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains,

a scenic park in the United States filled with lush valleys and rolling mountains.

It's a place many people visit for solitude and worship.

Today, we will travel to a beautiful waterfall.

We will visit a picturesque valley with colorful trees and grazing deer.

We'll also tour a historic church building as you prepare for today's story let your body sink into your bed close your eyes and stretch out your arms and legs take a deep soothing breath

imagine breathing in God's peace Psalm 4 8 says in peace I will lie down in sleep

for you alone Lord make me dwell in safety release your troubles to

God and accept his gift of relaxation and sleep father thank you for this precious child of God thank you for your grace

your mercy your love father your word says you alone are our dwelling place you alone are our

source of safety and peace.

I ask that you will grant this person patience and peace as they relax in your presence.

I ask that you give them sleep and pleasant dreams. I ask that you will protect them. It's in Christ's name that I pray.

The great smoky mountains lie in the southeastern United States, along the border of Tennessee and North Carolina.

Unlike the Rockies or the Alps, the smoky mountains are covered with trees from top to bottom.

The smokies get their name from a fog-like mist that hovers just above them,

giving them a majestic appearance.

In the summer, the trees on the mountains are lush green.

But during autumn, when this story takes place

the trees are transformed into a palette of awe-inspiring colors scarlet red
